18 Holes Par 73 6527 yards
La Cala America was designed by Cabell B. Robinson, and is one of the most popular courses on the Coast.
The course is a 6,009 metre par 72 with five par fives. The topography is similar to Campo Asia but the wide fairways make this a slightly easier driving course. There are fewer fairway bunkers as well but the changes in elevation put a priority on correct club selection.
The first three holes offer birdie opportunities to get the scoring going along nicely. After the start, no two holes are alike, but all require skilful shots to the greens. The finishing holes are a delight, from the spectacular short 16th with its lake and fountain, the 17th with a tricky narrow green to the downhill 18th, a fantastic par five. This course requires accurate and well-judged shot-making on the approach as nearly three quarters of the greens are perched or slightly elevated.
