One of the most scenic courses in the Algarve, Santo Antonio Golf Course provides a challenging round of golf for every level of golfer. As the course meanders through the undulating countryside it offers fantastic views of the surrounding villages and the Atlantic Ocean. Pepe Gancedo, one of Spain’s most renowned architects, was the man who built it and his philosophy behind the design involved minimal alteration to the existing terrain. No two holes on this course are alike, ensuring that every club in the bag will be needed. There has been a large investment in the course in recent years. A golf academy has been built and quite a few holes have been redesigned. The layout incorporates plenty of water, open fairways and challenging bunker-surrounded greens ensuring that an accurate tee shot is required at several holes.
