Inaugurated in 1992 and designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, Alcaidesa Links reopened in July 2022, following a huge investment in a spectacular redesign by Kurtis Bowman
La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links golf resort, formerly known as Alcaidesa, has now established itself as one of Europe’s top golf venues, after becoming the latest to join the European Tour Destinations network.
Ian Knox, Head of European Tour Destinations, said: “We are delighted to have La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links join our portfolio of world-class sites and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for the resort.”
La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links is a true links course, the only true links on the Costa del Sol. The renovation of the NEW Links has meant the reconstruction of all the tees, a complex of greens and bunkers, and the redesign of a series of holes.
It is a challenging course, with unique views, and with a quality to equal the best courses in Europe. It is made up of wide fairways, double greens, large bunkers strategically located, and gentle slopes that descend towards the sea, ending in a beautiful beach, creating a front of almost 2 km so that a large part of its holes border the beach.
The new course has opened up even more to the sea and has one of the best views of the entire Costa del Sol over the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa, which can be appreciated from all its greens.
Sea breezes and heavy gorse ensure a challenging round, and the spectacular ocean views add to the enjoyment of your round.
